amplifies pain sensations by affecting the way your brain processes these signals.
Symptoms sometimes begin after a surgery or physical trauma, infection or significant psychological stress. Sometimes, symptoms just gradually accumulate over time with no apparent triggering event.

Even though many doctors and scientists claim there is no cure for fibromyalgia, they prescribe a variety of medications to try and control symptoms.
Exercise, a healthier diet and removing the toxic substances from your diet through processed foods will all help in recovery form fibromyalgia.
The pain associated with fibromyalgia often is described as a constant dull ache, typically arising from muscles. To be considered widespread, the pain must occur on both sides of your body and above and below your waist.
Fibromyalgia brings additional pain when firm pressure is applied to certain areas of your body, called tender points.
Tender point locations include:
Sides of hips
Back of the head
Between shoulder blades
Top of shoulders
Front sides of neck
Fatigue and sleep disturbances are common with people that experience fibromyalgia. They often awaken tired, even though they report sleeping for long periods of time. Sleep is disrupted by pain, and other sleep disorders, like restless legs syndrome and sleep apnea, that other symptoms seem worse.
Common conditions of people who have fibromyalgia also include:

Doctors don’t know what causes fibromyalgia, but believe it’s most likely a variety of factors working together.
They think they might include genetics, infections or physical or emotional trauma. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has been linked to fibromyalgia also.
Why does it hurt people so much more with this condition?
They have a theory called “central sensitization.” They believe that people with fibromyalgia have a lower threshold for pain because of an increased sensitivity in the brain to pain signals.
Researchers believe repeated nerve stimulation causes the brains of people with fibromyalgia to be altered.
This change involves an abnormal increase in levels of certain chemicals in the brain that signal pain (neurotransmitters).
And then the brain’s pain receptors seem to develop a sort of memory of the pain, and become more sensitive, meaning they overreact to pain signals.
Both vitamin D and magnesium levels have been found to be low in people with fibromyalgia, but as of yet there is no established evidence that taking vitamin supplements are an effective fibromyalgia treatment alone.
Vitamin D, does have some effects on nerve and muscle function, and some studies have suggested that low levels of vitamin D may be associated with chronic pain of fibromyalgia.
A small clinical study published online in the January 2012 issue of Pain Medicine, showed fibromyalgia symptoms improved in 30 women, after 8 weeks of vitamin D supplementation.
Acupuncture, based on ancient Chinese medical practices is one of the oldest forms of treatment for chronic pain. Studies have shown the use of acupuncture combined with a pulsed electric current, (electroacupuncture), seems to relieve pain, for a short time.
Capsaicin comes from pepper plants and is considered a natural pain reliever and is the active ingredient in a variety of over-the-counter sprays and lotions.
When applied to a painful area of the body, it can also temporarily relieve fibromyalgia pain.
Capsaicin has been used for chronic pain in diabetes, cancer, and cluster headaches.
Melatonin is often used as a sleep aid, but it’s also been used for depression, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia.
Many people get fibromyalgia relief from natural and alternative treatments despite the lack of research to support them.
I recommend doing a detoxing of your body and then eliminate all the processed foods, toxins and poor food choices you’ve been living with. Diet and disease ARE definitely related!
